Thanks for taking the time to read and respond. As the title states, i am moving from illinois to michigan. 3 years ago and through no fault of my own, i was involved in an accident in Illinois.
The insurance agent i am working with said that even though i was not living in Michigan and the accident did not happen in michigan, I am still on the hook for the increase in my premium because of the state being a no-fault state.
Is this correct? Is there any information you could link me to in order to help confirm this? If it is true, is there literally anything i can do to get it reversed or a waiver of some sort?
thanks in advance
